A staff of the Benue State University identified as Mathew Chile was reportedly kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen along the Makurdi – Naka road.
According to reports the the incident occurred Sunday at about 6pm, when Chile in company of his wife and four of his siblings were driving to Makurdi from Naka in his Toyota Corrola vehicle.

The reports stated that all efforts to reach Chile on his phone number have proved unsuccessful and no word has been heard from him, his wife or any of his siblings who were with him as at the time of the attack.
