Some of Nigeria’s Senators have called for the removal of President Muhammadu Buhari from office citing his failure to handle security in the country
The senators chanted “Buhari Must Go” at the premise of the Nation Assembly on Wednesday. They demand that the president be sacked over insecurity.
The Senate Minority Leader, Philip Aduda, was stopped from moving the motion by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.
Nigeria is being faced with a plethora of security issues ranging from Boko Haram, Bandits and herdsmen. Daily there are attacks on the Nigerians from any of these groups.
The Buhari Government in 2015 had promised to secure Nigeria by dealing with Boko Haram and other criminal activities but the situation is worse by the day.
Just recently, the Presidential Guards were attacked by bandits in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja with three of the guards reportedly killed.
Similarly, The presidential advance team was attacked by bandits on their way to Daura, the President’s village in Katsina State.
