There is a viral video of Bags of bags mutilated money allegedly discovered in Makurdi, Benue State.

According to a female voice  who spoke in Pigin English said the bags of money were discovered by the Economic and Financial Crime commission, EFCC in a Police barack an area in Makurdi called Wadata.

In the video many people were seen around the area expressing disgust as to why money could be kept to become mutilated when there is hunger in the country.

The female voice accused politicians to be responsible for the act.

Meanwhile, no official statement has come from  the Economic and Financial Crime commission, EFCC, to confirm that they were the one who discovered it and who are behind  the mutilated money.

However, there are reactions that the bags of mutilated cash were not real notes but grinded notes for making of plates and hard paper in Kano. One Tavershima Ujam Tam said the owner of the shop has since been released after the source of the money was found out.

He posted: “Hahaha… Organizer that money issue ehn,e get as e be o…the monies in those bags weren’t cash but condemned grinded notes for the purpose of making/producing other items like broken plates and hard paper in Kano…the owner of the shop has since been released on finding out the source of the monies. I’m saying this because na for my area the matter happen sir”
