Special Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Government Affairs, Hon Peter Uviejitobor has assured the people of the state of  accelerated economic growth and sectorial development in Delta State as his Boss began second year of his administration.

Speaking at the venue of the Praise and Worship organized to mark the one year anniversary of the  governor’s administration, Hon Uviejitobor said the Governor has the capacity to deliver on his social contract with Deltan.

He said despite all the distractions in the life of the first year of the administration, including 38 number of litigations, the former Speaker of the State Assembly had remained committed and focused in good governance of the state.

Uviejitobor maintained that the Governor is determined to take the State to the next level of development, stressing that what is needed is the support of the people.

The two term member of the Delta State House of Assembly, averred that constructive dialogue and criticism were necessary for democratic governance, appealed against unnecessary pressure and distraction as the Governor commenced the second year of his first term in office.

Uviejitobor congratulated Rt Hon Oborevwori for all he was able to achieve within one year in office and wished him all the enablement to continue to deliver on his electioneering promises to Deltans.

The former Lawmaker who represented Udu Constituency between 2015 to 2023 affirmed his commitment to continue to galvanize government Ministries, Departments and Agencies to improve on their performances.

Uviejitobor noted that the good policies and Programmes of the Oborevwori administration must be implemented by the MDAs and ensure that the state is on the path of progress.

He said every critical stakeholders must be prepared to add value to the system and take the state to next level of development.

“Today’s event is a remarkable one on the life of our dear state, Delta. I am happy to be part of it. I congratulate my Governor, Rt Hon Elder Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori for the success of his administration in one year.

“I implore Deltans to continue to support their Governor and his led government to succeed as he is determined to promoting good governance in the state”, Uviejitobor stated.
