Senate President Ahmad Lawan has reportedly addressed Senator Kashim Shettima as the presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
Shettima is the Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
The Senate President, Lawan made a Facebook post on December 06, 2022, where he said he met with the presidential candidate Kashim Shettima and other party stakeholders in Yobe State.
Lawan posted: “Met yesterday with stakeholders of the All progressives Congress from Yobe State, including presidential candidate of our great party, the APC, Senator Kashim Shettima.”
Senator Lawan is of one of the long serving members of the national assembly who started from the House of Representatives, called the green chamber from 1999 to 2007, from where he got elected as a senator.
He represents the the people Yobe North and became the president of the senate in 2019 after defeating Senator Ali-Ndume with 79 votes, out of the total of 107 votes cast.

Senator Lawan also aspired to become Nigeria’s president under the All Progressives Congress in 2022 when he contested in the presidential primary of the party where former senator and National leader of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged as the presidential flag bearer of the party.
Thank God you have come out to review it to the public who may have not known your plans before now, but we from here are aware that Tinibu is not fit to rule Nigeria as a president which have made you, the enemies of the country to bring him (Tinibu) with Kashim Shetima hopping that Tinibu may not live to rule and you will continue with your evil agenda but God is exposing you and your evil plans and we will reject you, Tinibu, Shetima and anything that has to do with APC.
