Rivers United has agreed to a six hundred-thousand-naira monthly deal with Lobi Stars forward Joseph Atule.
Atule was impressive in the colors of Lobi Stars last season and many clubs have shown Interest in his services.
Rivers United are now in pole position for his signature as both sides have reached agreement over his salary.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has denied recent media reports claiming that Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, will be asked to take a pay cut in order to remain in charge of the team.
Peseiro’s contract is set to expire at the end of this month, and he currently earns $70,000 per month.
According to FL sources the NFF may offer Peseiro new terms with a reduced salary or he may be replaced by local coaches Emmanuel Amunike or Finidi George.
However, NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau has dismissed these claims, stating that there is “no iota of truth” to the story.

Gusau declined to comment on whether Peseiro would be retained on his current salary, but assured that the NFF will announce its decision in due course.
Arsenal have agreed a deal with Chelsea worth around sixty five million euros for Germany international forward Kai Havertz.
It is understood the clubs have made an agreement in principle that will allow the player to discuss personal terms and have a medical.
The fee for Havertz, who scored nine goals in 47 games for the Blues last season, could rise with add-ons.
Havertz, 24, joined Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020 for a deal worth about seventy one million euros.
He also scored the winning goal for Chelsea in the 2021 Champions League final against Manchester City.
