Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Arthur Akpowowo, has felicitated with the state Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on his one year in office anniversary.
Rt Hon Akpowowo in a statement made available to newsmen in Asaba, said the one year anniversary is a significant milestone and congratulated the Governor for all he was able to achieve for the state under the period.
The Deputy Speaker stated that Rt Hon Oborevwori has shown commitment in the policies and programmes of the state government as encapsulated in the MORE mantra of his one year old administration.

Rt Hon Akpowowo who represents Ethiope East State Constituency in the House, assured that the Delta State Assembly will continue to lend its support to Governor Oborevwori and his team in the Executive, as he look forward to seeing what they will accomplish together in the years to come.
The Deputy Speaker acknowledged the support of other critical stakeholders in the success story of the one year anniversary of the Oborevwori’s administration and stressed the need for sustained efforts towards achieving more for the state.
Akpowowo emphasized that “Advancing Delta” project of the state government was a collective one, pointing out that every Deltans have a role to play at ensuring that the initiative works and progress the state.
He commended Governor Oborevwori for his service to the state as well as his steadfast commitment to improving the lives of the citizens.
“His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has been around in the polity of the state to the point of presiding over the State Assembly for six years without any issue. He knows where to channel his energy to achieve the goals and aspirations of the people.
“I, on behalf of my family, constituents and political associates felicitate with him in particular and the state at large, on the one year in office anniversary.
“One year in office is a milestone for the state and its citizens. I am proud of the Governor for all he was able to accomplish within one year.
“As we look to the future, I am confident that his visionary leadership will continue to drive positive change in Delta State.
“It is also my hope and prayer that his leadership will continue to inspire all of us to contribute towards a brighter and more inclusive future for our state and the country at large”, Akpowowo stated.
