Nigerians have taken to social media describing as unprofessional for the Delta State University lecturer to insult the father of a student in class.
It is reported that the lecture shouted at the student saying to him ‘your father’ when he, the student disrupted his speech in a lecture.
The phrase, ‘your father’ in Nigeria is regarded as an insult when said to someone.
While some people do not see anything wrong with what the lecturer said, others say it as insult.
Here are some of the comments of some Nigerians
@rosythrone: The guy was out of control, but it’s unprofessonal to say that, calm down sir lol
@rubiceasers: Your father is a normal form of gbas gbos in this part of the country, its not even considered an insult💯
@debzewuru: This man may just be angry and pained, do you know if salaries have even been paid and now the students are trying to frustrate him. I know it’s unprofessional but even the students aren’t acting right so let’s not be quick to throw blames.
@vendorsinlagosng: They must have frustrated the man for him to go that far. If you’ve even taught a large number of people who don’t respect you, you’ll know how he feels
@stainlessfelix: Lol Mr Ejairu, this man is no way fit to even be a nursery school teacher. His classes are always like this.
