Kano Governor Yusuf: First Phase of Wuju-Wuju Road to be complete in 100 days

Kano State Governor Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf has restated the commitment of his government to complete the first phase of Wuju-Wuju road measuring 1.2 kilometres length before the first hundred days of his administration.

according to the statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to Kano State Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Governor gave the assurance when he paid an inspection visit to access the level of progression as contractors handling the project has mobilised back to site.

Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed happiness that the contract was awarded during the second tenure of Kwankwaso’s administration.

He said:  “I am a fullfilled man today in the sense that I gave alot of contributions towards the conceptualisation and execution of this gigantic project that is the construction of covered sewage conduits and road of 6.7 kilometres along Jakara- Kwarin Gogau river.”

“The Governor went on to say the project was abandoned by the preceding administration after we left government in 2015 and was envisaged to mitigate the effects of climate change in Kano.”

Governor Yusuf called on the contractor handling the project to do what it takes in ensuring that the project is completed before the first hundred days of his government as it was promised during electioneering processions.
