Imo: Buhari's Visit grounds Business Activities

There are reports that the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to Imo state today, September 13, 2022, has grounded all business activities in the state.

President Buhari is visiting the state to commission projects executed by the state government under Governor Hope Uzodinma.

In a video obtained by Newsflow from Twitter, marketplaces, worship centers, and commercial areas are locked down as vehicular movements and movement by persons are not seen.

Meanwhile, this development is not unconnected to the security situation in the South East where cases of kidnapping and killings by unknown gunmen are rampant.

lately, Imo state has been troubled by insecurity issues. In August 3, 2022, Gunmen kill seven security guards in Imo.

Another reason for the dissert street is said to be the sit-at-home order issued by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

President Muhammadu Buhari  is on a one day working visit to commission projects that have been completed by Governor Hope Uzodimma-led administration, some which include roads, Imo State House of Assembly complex and other drainage.
