Easter: Police deploys Massive personnel for security in Benue state

Benue State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has ordered the deployment of officers across the state to ensure maximum security of lives and property during the Easter celebration.

A statement by the Command’s Public Relation Officer, SP Sewuese Anene says, the State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Adesina directed all Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and Divisional Police Officers to deploy personnel and other resources to strategic places in their areas of responsibility, particularly to churches, parks, event centres, entry and exit routes in the state.

The Police Commissioner charged officers deployed on high ways to be vigilant and courteous to travellers while discharging their duties.

He also advised religious and traditional leaders, parents and guardians to caution their children and wards against unlawful practices in the course of the celebration, urging the public to call the Command’s emergency lines to report cases of crime around them.

The statement adds that, CP Adesina felicitated the people of the state on the occasion of Easter celebration and enjoined Christians to pray for God’s protection and peace upon state.
