All suspensions of party members in the State have been revoked by the All Progressives Congress, APC, Benue State Chapter.
Austin Agada, the APC’s state chairman, disclosed this to reporters on Thursday after the party’s Executive Committee meeting concluded at its Makurdi state secretariat.
Agada stated that the party was concerned about the wave of unauthorized suspensions occurring at the state and local government levels within the party’s arms. He issued a warning to those in charge, advising them to refrain from imposing what he considered to be unlawful suspensions without first consulting the proper authorities.
He clarified that the suspension process must be carried out in accordance with the party’s constitution, regulations, and procedures, adding that even in cases when a suspension is authorized, the State Working Committee of the party must ratify it.
Agada called on all party members who felt wronged to file complaints and grievances through the proper channels, as stipulated by the party’s constitution.

The State party chairman also encouraged all local government party chairmen and other relevant parties to cease holding party meetings and any other activities that can spark a crisis in their communities. He emphasized that going forward, no party meeting or activity will be held without the approval of the State Working Committee.
Agada revealed that the party had voted of confidence on President Bola Tinubu and his vice, Governor Hyacinth Alia and his deputy, and Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. The party had also praised its members for their support and urged them to uphold the law.
