The member representing Katsina-Ala West in the Benue State House of Assembly, Jonathan Agbidye Gyongo, is reportedly missing.
Reports making around suggest that his sudden disappearance is not unconnected to politics, with accusing pointing towards the heads of the Executive and Legislature.

Another report has stated that Jonathan has been allegedly arrested by the Department of State Service, DSS , at his Makurdi residence, on Monday March 18, 2024 without any explanation.
Efforts to confirm the news of the disappearance of the lawmaker were unsuccessful as none of is relatives and media aide responded to calls.
