Executive Chairman, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Service, IRS, Hon (Chief) Solomon Ighrakpata has lauded the achievements of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as he marks one year in office.
Hon Ighrakpata said in a statement in Warri that the Governor came prepared for governance, stressing that policies and programmes of the administration were geared towards advancement of the state.
Ighrakpata, a former member of the Delta State Legislature and a colleague of the Governor in the 7th Assembly, emphasized that Rt Hon Oborevwori has done well in the past 366 days in handling the affairs of Delta State.
The IRS Chairman explained that the Governor has created an atmosphere of confidence for investors to invest in the state, noting that but for the recent sad development in Okuama, the state has been very peaceful.
Commending the unrelenting efforts of the Governor to completing ongoing projects from the immediate past administration, alongside those initiated by his government, Ighrakpata averred that Oborevwori has turned the state to construction site.

“The Ughelli- Kwale-Asaba dualization, the Storm Water Drains Project in Warri- Uvwie and Environs, the Flyover Bridge project in Warri, several road constructions linking communities in the state, including Riverines, ongoing infrastructural upgrades in the education and health sectors, to mention but a few are worthy of commendation”, he said.
Ighrakpata pointed out that the positive impacts of the MORE agenda of the Governor is being felt across the state, expressing optimism of bountiful harvest of completed projects as the Governor advances his vision and plans for the state and its people.
Ighrakpata congratulated Rt Hon Oborevwori for the one year anniversary in office as Governor of Delta state, and pray to God to grant him the wherewithal to make more progress in his quest for a better society.
He said “Your Excellency, you are a man of honour, a man of integrity, a man with vision and a leader with excessive grace.
“No matter how they try, your love for God and service to humanity shall always see you through”, Ighrakpata asserted.
