…Highlights gains of good governance achieved under its sponsorship since 1999
…Pledges to do more if given another lease of mandate at the 2023 polls
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State has strengthened its bond with the people of the state on its first round of tour of the 23 local Government areas as the party campaigns for the 2023 elections.
Over the course of six days our great party toured the 14 local government areas of the Benue North-East and North-West Senatorial Districts where it came into direct contact with the electorate.
Led by His Excellency, Governor Samuel Ortom, leaders of the party and its stakeholders dialogued with the people in their localities drawing on the performance scorecard of governmental administrations sponsored on its platform since 1999.
With specific reference to the immediate past era under Governor Gabriel Suswam and the incumbent one under Governor Ortom, the manifold gains of good governance in line with the party’s egalitarian manifesto were highlighted.
Progressively those gains which are practically visible in road networks, schools, hospitals, a revamped food security drive through a deliberate back-to-farm policy anchored by a determined security initiative, and more were the bargaining chips our great party took to the electorate.
PDP promised to consolidate and improve upon those gains if given another lease of mandate at the next round of elections, soliciting for its candidates for the Governorship, National and State Assembly elections to be returned victorious at the polls.
Additional highpoints of the tour included the presentation to the people of 2023 Governorship Candidate of our great party, Engr. Titus Tyoapine Uba, freshly back from medical vacation abroad, with his wife, Mrs. Pauline Uba and his Running Mate, Sir John Ngbede as well as defection into PDP by thousands of members of other political parties, mostly from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Isaac Mffo and members of the State Working Committee, State Assistant officials, local government area party chairmen, the State Campaign Council, State Campaign Management Committee and other campaign structures.
Members of the House of Representatives and State Assembly caucuses of the party; Secretary to the State Government; Chief of Staff to the Governor; Executive Chairmen of local government councils in the state; Commissioners Special Advisers and Senior Aides to the Governor; former governorship aspirants on the party’s platform, its national and state Assembly candidates for the coming polls, elders, women, youths, voluntary associations and support groups were also fully in tow on the campaign train.
Mammoth crowds of people came out at the venues visited on the tour expressing heartfelt support for the PDP which they hailed as the party credited with the contemporary developmental legacy of the state, and promised to return it to power once again at the next elections.
