Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor has expressed appreciation to the Board, Management and Staff of the Pointer Newspaper for the “Certificate of Excellence in Public Service” award bestowed on him as part of activities to mark the 30th anniversary of the state owned media outfit.
Rt Hon Guwor who was present at the grand ceremony put together by the Management of the Newspaper to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the News tabloid, described the Award as a tremendous honour to him, his Constituents and the State Legislature.
The Speaker who is the National Treasurer, Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, CPS, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, said he was deeply humbled and grateful for the prestigious recognition.
He noted that the award is not just a testament to commitment to public service but also a reflection of the tireless efforts of his colleagues and the entire Delta State House of Assembly team.

Rt Hon Guwor reaffirmed his dedication to serving the people of Delta State and the nation at large, even as he promised to always acknowledge and recognize the team effort behind any achievement made as a public servant.
He said, “This Certificate of Excellence serves as a motivation to continue working tirelessly for the betterment of the society.
“I dedicate the award to my constituents and the Delta State House of Assembly that entrusted me with the privilege of service as Speaker in the State Legislature.
Again, I thank the Pointer newspaper for the esteemed honour”.
On the 30th Anniversary of the Newspaper, the Speaker congratulated Management and Staff for the remarkable milestone of dedicated service and unwavering commitment to balanced reportage and agenda-setting.
He said the Pointer Newspaper has consistently demonstrated excellence in storytelling, investigative reporting, and community engagement.
Rt Hon Guwor encouraged the News tabloid to remain focused on shaping public discourse geared towards strengthening peace, unity, development and good governance in Delta State.
