The Nongov All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders have reaffirmed their unwavering support for Senator Dr. George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), describing him as a beacon of leadership for the Tiv nation, Benue State, and North Central Nigeria.
In a statement signed by prominent Nongov leaders, including Hon. Michael Iordye, Prof. Philip Tachin, Dr. James Mbachiantim Manger, Hon. Agasha Kwaghga, and Hon. Kefas Aseshi, the elders lauded Akume’s exceptional leadership and lifelong contributions to governance. The Nongov APC Elders also called on Tiv political actors to resist divisive tendencies, urging them to rally behind Akume’s leadership for the benefit of the Tiv nation and Benue at large. They condemned the “pull-him-down syndrome” that previously tarnished Tiv politics and pledged their loyalty to Akume’s agenda.
