The son of the a music icon, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has been reported to have died.

His son, Ifeanyi David, wo happens to be his  first son with baby mama, Chioma Rowland aka Chef Chi passed on at the age of three.

The cause of Ifeanyi has been revealed that, while celebrating his third birthday, he drowned in his father’s Banana Island swimming pool and was rushed to Lagoon Hospital on Bourdillon road, Ikoyi, Lagos where he later died.

Report holds that his father had been teaching him how to take dips in the pool in an attempt to create a father and son bond.

Others, like former Big Brother Naija reality star Dorathy Bachor, expressed shock at the news, while some of his fellow celebrities, like actress Eniola Badmus and serial entrepreneur Toyin Lawani, posted the image of a broken heart emoji on their social media accounts before taking it down.

This is the second incident of a death of son of a Nigerian music icon. In 2018, the Local media reported that Nigerian Afrobeats musician D’banj lost his only child in a drowning incident. One-year-old Daniel Oyebanjo III reportedly drowned in the singer’s Lagos home’s swimming pool in May.
