The newly donated Benue State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Secretariat has taken on a fresh appearance, just a week after being handed over by the immediate past Governor of Benue State and leader of the party, Chief Samuel Ortom. This follows the closure of the former Secretariat.
How the former secretariat was closed leading to the new PDP secretariat
Reports from newsflow.com.ng indicate that security personnel stationed at the former PDP Secretariat had barred members of the party’s Caretaker Committee from entering the premises without prior warning.
According to the report, the security officers explained they were “acting on instructions from the property owner,” who had ordered that the Secretariat be locked indefinitely.

The former State PDP Secretariat is reportedly owned by an individual linked to the former governor, Senator Gabriel Suswam.
