The Benue Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has described the performance index by BudgiT where it ranked Benue low as antics of the opposition.
The party in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Bemgba Iortyom, said Ortom is executing projects and would not be distracted by opposition.
The statement reads: “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State read a report circulating on the social media which ranks the state as last on a performance index for all states in Nigeria purportedly prepared by a certain BudgiT.
“We state that the report is nothing but a fabrication masterminded by the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), which Benue people will certainly laugh off as a huge joke.
“Our great party is aware APC has it as a priority to undermine the PDP-controlled administration of His Excellency, Governor Samuel Ortom and that report by the nebulous BudgiT is one of their antics towards that end.

“However, in the estimation of the people, the Ortom administration is on a continual basis chalking up concrete developmental projects which they are daily deriving utility from.
Benue PDP notes with satisfaction that the administration remains unperturbed and undistracted from its focus on executing those life-enhancing projects across the state, despite the underhand tactics of APC.
“From infrastructural projects to social amenities, educational and healthcare delivery, the Ortom administration has maintained stride on its projects execution track, and this is a fact no smear campaign by APC may sully.
