Benue State Police Command said it has neutralised an armed robber along Taraku–Otukpo road and arrested a suspected kidnapper in Zaki Biam.
A statement by the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Superintendent, Sewuese Anene, said the armed robber was neurtralised by operation Zenda Joint Task Force during a gun duel, while ANother escaped with gunshot injuries.
She added that one locally made pistol with three rounds of 9mm live ammunition and drY leaves suspected to be Indian hemp were recovered IN the operation.
According to the statement, a suspected kidnapper, Elijah Elisha, who allegedly threatened to kidnap one Mr Innocent and demanded Five Million from him has been arrested. The PPRO said Mr Innocent had paid Elijah Five hundred Thousand Naira to stop the threat, but it persisted.

During his arrested, the suspected kidnapper was found with Police uniform and military camouflage trousers in his house.
