The yahoo yahoo candidate of APC in Benue state Hyacinth Alia’s arrogance and desperation for the luxuries of power are his greatest problems. The man is blatantly proud and his haughtiness knows no bounds.
The other day, pictures went viral of him holding two big plates of akpu (pounded cassava) at the mansion which he diverted church money to build for himself and his many women. He is yet to explain where he got money to build the exotic building. In the viral pictures, he was seen pretending like a humble man who can be trusted as a servant leader. Servant leader my foot! We have not known Alia as a humble person. We only know him as a salt water seller at fake healing masses. All what he is doing now is fake like those “miracles” he claimed to perform in those days. We have never seen anyone that he healed.
Alia’s latest show of pride was when he told the trio of Chief Barnabas Gemade, Chief Mike Aondoakaa and Prof Terhemba Shija to go to hell after he failed to convince them to withdraw their court cases against him. But the three gentlemen know him more than he knows himself. They knew he was lying and was not sincere in his request that the lawsuits be withdrawn.
It can be recalled that Alia and Senatora George Akume initiated the idea to plead with the aggrieved APC governorship aspirants who are in court challenging the yahoo yahoo primaries that produced the suspended priest as candidate to drop their cases. But the meetings ended in a deadlock largely because of Alia’s conduct towards the three personalities. After composing songs to insult them, he came through the back door to beg them not to further pursue their cases against him.
Alia knows that he stands no chance of winning any of the court cases against him so he has decided to cunningly seek out of court settlement which Gemade, Shija and Aondoakaa have rejected.
Senator Barnabas Gemade spoke yesterday in Agagbe, Gwer West and asked the Benue populace to shun rumour mongers, saying he is vigorously pursuing his case in court and sure of victory as the court has heard his case judiciously, and is about to aside a date for judgment which will come up any moment from now.
The APC Governorship hopeful repeated his words in Korinya, Konshisha local government area. According to a statement by Comr. Solo Dzuah, Media and Publicity aide to Sen. Gemade, his boss urged all his teeming supporters to disregard rumours from people who have chosen propaganda against the truth and reality.

The coming days will be really tough for Alia and his band of insult-singing boys. The courts will be delivering judgments on the court cases against him soon and he stands no chance of winning just one of the cases.
