President Bola Tinubu has urged the Benue State Government to effectively utilize financial allocation granted to the state to solve food and security crisis.
Tinubu who spoke through the Executive Director, Housing, Finance and Accounts, Federal Housing Authority, Doctor Mathias Byuan reaffirmed his resolve to appoint more Benue sons and daughters in his administration and urged the people of the State to keep faith with his Renewed Hope Agenda for citizens.
The President’s representative who spoke at the funeral of Mrs. Msoo Tar, in Mbaawe Council Ward in Ushongu Local Government Area, eulogized the deceased for her motherly role and prayed God to console the immediate family.
Also speaking, the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Shippers Council, Barrister Pius Akutah said the billions of naira allocated to the State for palliatives was enough to address some of the challenges facing the State.
He reassured Benue people of President Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring that peace returns to the State as well create more employment opportunities for women and youths
According to a statement by Senior Special Assistant to Executive Director, Bartholomew Anjembe, Doctor Byuan was accompanied by Executive Secretary, Nigerian Shippers Council, Barrister Akutah, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Coastal Tourism and Recreation, Ademola Adetokunbo while the Benue State Governor was represented by the Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Creativity, Terkimbi Ikyange.
