The Governor got into the country early today Friday and was received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by some government officials and political leaders from Benue state.
According to the Chief Press Secretary, Nathaniel Ikyur, Governor Ortom’s two-week official vacation was fruitful as he held meetings on climate change, agriculture among others.
He said “Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom returned to the country, early hours of Friday, September 16th, 2022 after a two-week official vacation in the UK and USA. While in the US, the Governor held strategic meetings with groups on climate change, agriculture and the International Republican Institute.
“The Governor was received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by some government officials and political leaders from Benue state.”

At one of the meetings on climate change, Governor Ortom told experts Benue State has embraced the climate change agenda, and has taken legislative and policy actions across four priority areas, namely, renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, climate-smart water management, and climate-smart transportation.
