Gov Ortom Embarks On More Roads Constructions To Open Up Areas And Check flood

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has embarked on the construction of more roads in Makurdi metropolis and some parts of the State to open up those areas and control floods.

Some of those areas where roads have been constructed and some others ongoing have had flood challenges resulting in building collapse, and difficulty accessing the areas during the rainy season.

Governor Ortom has constructed many major roads in Makurdi and some other parts of the State that are having huge economic impacts on the people including the control of floods.

Some of the roads include Ahmadu Bello way, Martins Dent Road, Aper Aku Road, Captain Downs road, JS Tarka way, Shaahu road all in Gboko.

Others include Mobil Barracks -Yaikyo road, Tse poor – Apir road, Bambam road, Akpehe-Iorhon Road, and Suswam road all in Makurdi.

There are several ongoing roads across the state that after completion would affect the people positively.

Makurdi, the Benue State capital faces perennial flooding as a result of River Benue.

It will be recalled that Governor Ortom has persistently asked for the dredging of River Benue to control the annual flood challenges in the state.
