Political Leaders and Stakeholders of ljaw nation in Delta State has congratulated His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on his emergence as the “Governor of the Year”, by ThisDay Newspaper.
A statement endorsed by sixty two Leaders and Stakeholders of the Ijaws in Delta State, including Alaowei Broderick Bozimo, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor, Senator James Manager, Rt Hon Julius Pondi, Rt Hon Nicholas Mutu and Prince Emma Amgbadugba, described the award as well deserved recognition.
They noted that Delta State has been on auto cruise in terms of development under the leadership of Rt Hon Oborevwori, saying that the “Governor of the Year” award was capable of spurring him to do more for growth and prosperity in the state.

Part of the statement reads, “there is no over-emphasizing the fact that His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda is moving Delta State into an era of sustainable social and economic development. Most major cities in Delta State have been turned into construction sites.
“His Excellency has created a conducive business and investment environment for local and foreign investors in the State. A lot of remarkable successes have been recorded in advancing urban-rural integration. In deed our Governor, has turned Delta state into the envy of many States.
“As he continues to stir the ship of the MORE Agenda, we wish him greater successes and recognitions. May the Delta State of our dreams come into reality”.
