Suspected thugs on Wednesdays chased protesting students of the Benue State University College of health Sciences, Makurdi out of Benue State Government House.
According to reports, the students had staged a peaceful protest to interface with the Governor Hyacinth Alia to make their demands concerning the poor condition of their school.
They said they were wanted to draw the attention of the governor to their challenges of lack of water, dilapidated classrooms, and hostel many others.
The report added that while the students were matching to the Government House gate, they were stopped by police on guard and demanded of them to send delegates which they refused.
According to the report, while the police were discussing with the students, thugs in their numbers carrying sticks came out of Benue State government house and violently chased the student away from the Government house.
Though the students retreated, but they have returned as at the time of filing this report to government house to demand to see the governor, adding that they must see the governor.
