The Publicity Secretary of the Benue State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has denied allegation of anti-party leveled on him, where he was accused of championing the re-election campaign of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
In a statement he signed, Bemgba said he has no plans to leave the party.
The statement reads: “In the last 24 hours a group of persons have taken to the public space to make allegations against my person, claiming among other things that I am plotting to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and that I am championing the re-election campaign of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
“Their claims are as unfortunate as the personalities they carry about, with some among them are even supposed to be leaders of credible opinion in the state.

For the records, I have no plans to leave the PDP, if I decide to do so, it won’t be a matter left to nocturnal conjecturing.
“I have served PDP with total commitment, conscientiously, courageously and sacrificially for 8 years in the highly demanding office of state spokesperson; I do not understand that rationally there is a demand for me to prove anything.
“So those peddling such opinions about me err on both moral and lawful grounds, and sadly some of them are persons I have held in very high esteem.
“Is there any among the gang of Nicholas Ada, Paul Ubwa, Dominic Ucha and their co wayfarers in the Concerned Stakeholders contraption who can creditably call to question my labour, service and sacrifice to PDP?
“If the standard should be results delivered to the party at elections, using just the 2023 polls as yardstick, can any bring the result from their polling unit alone to prove their mettle as Concerned whatever?
“They have found a cave under the claim of being loyalists of a leader of the party, just to hide the ugliness of their political nakedness, yet most of them could not even dare show their faces at their polling units during the last elections to as much as cast a vote for their acclaimed leader.
“I had earlier in an engagement posted my own results and challenged them to do the same, if they can; I reiterate that challenge now.
“Regarding the allegation that I am championing the 2027 re-election campaign for President Tinubu, only one with basic comprehension problems or mischievous intentions, or a combination of both will seek to drive such a pathetic allegation, at least if my appearance on TVC is the focus.
“I challenge any one of those unfortunate fellows to point in just a phrase or sentence where I had championed such a cause.
“But having even said that, should I decide to take on such a course of action, will it be those shady characters who are well known lackeys of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia in Benue State that are qualified to question me?
“Have they not everywhere been heard and seen championing support for Governor Alia, or are they not known to be sponsored in their shady activities against PDP in the state by a faction of the APC in Benue?
Was that particular media outing yesterday against me by those characters who now feed from Government House, Makurdi, not sponsored by their benefactor?
“I have since 2016 taken on the arduous task of promoting, defending and safeguarding the interests of the PDP in Benue State, as well as leading the Forum of my colleagues nationwide, I have undertaken critical and sensitive national assignments for the party, and I have not once been found wanting in the line of duty by my superiors.
“Malice, lies and mischief from shady, declining characters, some of who held high offices at the pleasure of this great party, but failed themselves, the party, their communities and their families, may only last against my person for the span of a nighttime.
“I remain unshaken and unmoved.”
