The Benue State Police Command has confirmed attacks by suspected herdsmen on some communities in Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State, during which seven persons were killed.

The Command Public Relations Officer, SP Sewuese Catherine Anene, gave the confirmation to newsmen on Sunday.

According to her, the herdsmen first attacked Tse Gamber in Sengev Council Ward, killing four persons.

The second attack took place at Camp Nagi, a settlement along Naka-Agagbe Road, Mbachohon Council Ward, killing three persons while many were injured.
